Living with the bunker is a Critical Eye documentary focusing on the impact of the BNP national headquarters in Greenwich on the local community. The film explores local perceptions of the rise of the far-right with particular reference to Black and Asian communities.
The film also focuses on the families of two young black men who were murdered in the area; Stephen Lawrence and Roland Adams, and assesses the impact on the lives of their families.
Greenwich now has the reputation as Britain’s ‘race-hate murder capital’, and this film is an attempt to assess the connection between the presence of the extreme- right and racial attacks in the borough.
